South Shore Pavilion Wedding Celebration

If you’ve been following me for awhile you might recognize Kate and Andy! That’s because they got married last year with just their immediate families! They waited a whole year to safely party with everyone else in person. Their South Shore Pavilion wedding celebration was over a year in the making and it was certainly worth the wait!

Their South Shore Pavilion Wedding Celebration

Kate and Andy held a marriage blessing ceremony. It was so fun to see their families and pastor again. I LOVED when the pastor stuck true to his word and quizzed them on the three pieces of advice he gave them last year: prioritize your marriage, remember your supporters, and to laugh!. Nobody except their pastor remembered even though he clearly warned us he would quiz us – OH WELL!

After their ceremony they did a petal toss outside and it was so fun! These are quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of a wedding day – I highly recommend doing a petal toss if you can!!

For dinner we had what I’d consider the healthiest food I’ve ever eaten at a wedding – which makes sense because Kate is a registered dietician. Their entire group danced the night away – even though we were all super sweaty with the lack of air-conditioning. It was such a perfect way to celebrate their marriage!

My Favorite Moment

I knew going into the night that I would probably cry at some point since I cried during their ceremony last year. Well I was right – Andy’s brother and best man, Joey, gave a speech that didn’t leave a dry eye in the room. They honored the memory of Andy’s late father and it was by far the most emotional moment of the night.

A Note to Kate and Andy

Kate and Andy – I was honored to photograph your wedding ceremony last year and even more honored that you asked me to celebrate with you again this year. It was a privilege to witness how your marriage has grown even stronger over the past year. I’m so glad you were finally able to celebrate with all of your loved ones. Give Pepper some big hugs and cuddles from me!
