Beauty and the Beast Inspired Wedding

When Gabrielle and Daniel first reached out to me, I knew their wedding day was going to be grand. We clicked right from the start and Gabrielle shared her wedding day vision with me. They had chosen a beautiful historic venue with the Grain exchange and they wanted to bring the history and grandeur of the venue together with a subtle Beauty and the Beast inspired wedding theme.

When they shared their loved story with me, it sounded like it was straight out of a fairytale! So it was only fitting that their wedding also had a fairytale vibe.

Their Beauty and the Beast Inspired Wedding

Their day started with a catholic ceremony at the amazing St. James 1868’s Abbey. Although their original plans were to get married at Marquette University’s Church of the Gesu, St. James 1868 was the perfect substitute. This venue is a converted church and it still boasts the original tiffany stained glass. Gabrielle walked down the aisle to Ave Maria in her gorgeous dress looking like a literal princess!

The bridal party toured around some of Milwaukee’s iconic sights before their reception at the Grain Exchange. Rather than having table numbers, the tables were all named after different cities that Daniel and Gabrielle had travelled to together. Candelabras adorned the tables along with some lush greenery to go with the Beauty and the Beast theme. The head table adorned with a beautiful florals and chandeliers.

Their wedding vision came together perfectly!

My Favorite Moment

As always – it’s hard to pick just ONE favorite moment. I think it may have been the first dances. Gabrielle and Daniel danced a perfectly choreographed waltz together and it felt like a scene right out of a movie. After a quick outfit change, Gabrielle danced to some traditional German polkas with her father and Daniel danced to a Spanish song with his mother. I loved that they chose these dances to pay homage to their heritages!

A Note to Gabrielle and Daniel

Gabrielle and Daniel – I don’t even know where to begin! What a beautiful wedding day you had! It truly is a day I’ll never forget and I’m so grateful you trusted me to document your vision. Your love for each other was so apparent on your wedding day. I love seeing how much you two support each other’s dreams. I hope that your life together continues to feel like a fairytale!
