Jorie and Derek’s timeless Marriott Lincolnshire wedding day was full of so much joy, laughter, and of course dogs! These two planned a beautiful summer wedding with some fun pops of color in their florals. I am so excited to share their day with you!

Their Timeless Marriott Lincolnshire Wedding

Jorie started the morning off getting ready with her best friends. I loved seeing how much her friends supported her and could tell right away this was going to be an amazing group to spend the day with. Jorie decided to do a first look with her dad after she was dressed. It’s so special when brides decide to do this and her dad’s reaction to seeing her was so sweet!

Jorie and Derek shared a first look together prior to their ceremony. Whenever couples choose to do a first look it provides them with some quiet moments together – a rare occurrence on a wedding day! There were definitely some wedding day jitters from both Jorie and Derek, but seeing each other relayed those nerves right away.

Their ceremony was set alongside the pond at the Lincolnshire where they had a custom aisle runner adorned with loose petals. A subtle breeze drifted through the audience as these two shared their vows to each other. They wrote personal vows and each of them were full of inside jokes that made everyone laugh and even cry a little.

Their reception space was decorated with gorgeous florals and some amazing light up letters with the couple’s new last name lighting up the dance floor. Their family and friends gave toasts where they joked about how Jorie and Derek go to bed super early and how Derek would much rather have a glass of milk than anything else. They stayed up way past their bedtime to dance the night away surrounded by their loved ones!

My Favorite Moment

A few days before their wedding, Derek contacted me with a special surprise he had planned for Jorie. They adore their sweet pup, Reese and Jorie thought Reese wouldn’t be able to join for part of their day. Derek contacted their neighbor and formed a plan for her to bring the dog for the end of the ceremony to surprise Jorie. Seeing Jorie’s face light up when she saw Reese was an unforgettable moment from their day! She was truly shocked and it was so sweet to see Derek looking at Jorie the entire time wanting to see her reaction.

Jorie and Derek, I am so honored and glad you chose me to photograph your wedding day. I had so much fun throughout the entire process and I appreciated how much trust you placed in me. You two compliment each other so well and I love seeing how much you two make each other laugh. Thank you for treating me like a member of your family on your wedding day. Plus, I loved getting to finally meet Reese!! Enjoy your married life together!
