Discovery World Wedding with Flower Dog

Hanna and Dylan celebrated their wedding day this past June at one of my favorite locations in Milwaukee. This Discovery World wedding holds a special place in my heart because it was my last ever Milwaukee wedding before moving to Boise, ID! I am so excited to share more about their special day!

Their Discovery World Wedding Day

Hanna and Dylan’s day began with them getting ready surrounded by their best friends – this includes their furry pup Blitzen! You’re going to hear a LOT about Blitzen because she played a pretty big role in their day. I loved that their officiant took some time to pray over Hanna and Dylan with their wedding party – there wasn’t a dry eye among Hanna’s ladies as they prepared to walk down the aisle.

I learned something special about their wedding date – it’s the same date as Dylan’s parents’ anniversary so now these two share a wedding anniversary! Their ceremony took place at Plymouth Church and Blitzen was the flower dog. She had a floral collar to commemorate the occasion (though admittedly the collar didn’t last long because she LOVES to eat flowers!). Hanna and Dylan each wrote their own vows and I loved hearing some inside jokes these two share as well as some heartfelt memories.

After the ceremony Hanna and Dylan visited iconic spots around Milwaukee with their wedding party for photos. Dylans top photo location? The Giannis mural. As an avid sports fan we had to take the chance to stop by the mural for a photo op!

During their cocktail hour these two had a signature cocktail called “The Blitzen” and custom Blitzen napkins. I loved that touch since Blitzen had to go home for the reception. During the reception these two shared a cookie cake instead of a traditional cake and I loved how it turned out!

They ended their amazing wedding day with a party on the dance floor! Sound by Design kept the party going well into the night and everyone had so much fun! Before I left I was able to sneak out with Hanna and Dylan for some gorgeous nighttime skyline photos

My Favorite Moment

It’s hard to pick a favorite moment from this day! So rather than pick a moment I’m going to pick a compilation of moments and that’s all of the details that revolved around Blitzen. It’s so much fun to see couples involve their furry pups in their days. From getting ready, to the ceremony, to family pics and finally to the cocktail hour, we were always reminded that Blitzen was there, being the adorable golden retriever that she is!

A Note to Hanna and Dylan

I don’t think I could have asked for a better couple to spend my last Wisconsin wedding day with. You two have been a dream to work with and I’m so glad you trusted me with your wedding day. I know it’s scary to entrust someone with this job and I know it’s not always enjoyable to be in front of the camera, but I really appreciate you two letting your walls down in front of the camera and going along with all of my crazy ideas. I hope you two are enjoying your married life together so far and cheers to many more happy times together!
