I can’t believe I lived in Madison for almost 4 years and never visited Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Middleton. I missed out on a great place for running, hiking and biking! This place is gorgeous! A natural spring bubbles up from the ground at the bottom on a hill – I had never seen anything like that before! If you live in the Madison area or are visiting, be sure to check this place out. Remember to bring bug spray and sunscreen though! There’s not much shade and the gorgeous meadows definitely foster a great environment for bugs!
Where do I start with Katie and Max? They are such a sweet couple! They were both in marching band at Notre Dame (Go Irish!). Max was a manager and in the Irish Guard and Katie played the piccolo (Pickle – OH!). When I needed some models to update my style guide they answered the call! They were super flexible as my travel plans changed somewhat last minute and we moved their session from a sunset session to a morning session. The forecast called for 60’s and cloudy with a chance of rain – but it ended up being sunny without a cloud in the sky and in the upper 70’s! Max didn’t complain once about the heat even though he was wearing a sport coat.
Can we talk about their outfits?! If you’re looking for some inspiration for what to wear for a session take a look! Katie’s long flowy dress is perfect for fun twirling photos! Max’s pants add a nice pop of color and when paired with his sport coat and tie the whole look comes together. The colors of their outfits compliment each other nicely too!
The thing I loved about this session was all the greenery. Wisconsin has had a cool and wet spring and early start to summer resulting in a lot of dreary days. During this session it finally felt like summer! I had so much fun with these two as they laughed and twirled for my camera. Thanks Katie and Max for letting me capture these for you! Enjoy a few favorites from their session!
