My Collection of Ugly Christmas Sweaters

Did you know December 20th is National Ugly Christmas Sweater day? Well it is! And it seemed like the perfect time to share with you my love for Christmas sweaters!

My love for Christmas sweaters started in college as a Freshman. My dorm RA had gone to the thrift store and bought a bunch of Christmas sweaters and was reselling them to people in our dorm. I acquired one of my favorite sweaters this way – the first one below with the tree and the cat and the sheep.

Through the years I slowly started to build up my Christmas sweater collection. Every Christmas, I’m scouring the stores trying to find the perfect sweater. Thrift shops are the best places to find a reasonably priced Christmas sweater and I’ve found they are more unique. Once in awhile I splurge on a sweater that is too good to pass up – this was the case with the reindeer (and reindeer’s behind) sweater seen below. It was a surprise find at Shopko! I’m always on the lookout for a good Christmas sweater, so let me know if you have any intel on where to find one!

Nowadays Christmas sweaters are so popular. I feel like I’ve loved them for a decade now and over the past few years they have surged into a must-have Christmas essential. In my opinion, you can never have too many Christmas sweaters.

I’ve become known among my friends as the go-to person to borrow a Christmas sweater from. So hit me up if you’re in need of one for an ugly sweater party (or buy one cause they’re awesome to own). I wear a Christmas sweater basically every day in December. If you’ve seen me in December, I was probably wearing one of these.

Some of my favorites are shown below – though admittedly a few are not pictured and some are not sweaters. Maybe next year I’ll remember to photograph them all. Tell me which one is your favorite in the comments below! Do you have any Christmas sweaters?
