Liz and Tony – Private Property DIY Wedding

We all waited in anticipation. The chilly night breeze flowed across the waiting crowd. That’s when we heard the first boom and then a clap immediately followed. Fireworks began to crackle across the sky. All of the wedding guests immediately began to cheer and clap as the fireworks show continued. Tony spun Liz around a dipped her into a long kiss as fireworks exploded in the background.

Their Wedding Day

Liz and Tony had the ultimate DIY wedding. Their venue was Tony’s family’s property and they did pretty much everything themselves. From putting up the draping and lanterns in the venue, to building the stage and arch for their ceremony. Liz even custom made toasting flutes for every single guest with their name etched onto the glass. Pretty much every detail you see pictured below, these two made themselves and it was SO impressive seeing everything come together.

The day itself was the most perfect Wisconsin fall day. The leaves were gorgeous shades of yellow and the sun was shining all day long with clear blue skies. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for these two. It was beautiful watching these two speak their handwritten vows to each other under the shade of some gorgeous fall trees surrounded by their closest friends and family.

My Favorite Moment

How can I possibly pick just one favorite moment?! I loved their handwritten vows to each other and all of the details that these two put together for their day. But my favorite moment was the fireworks show at the end of the night! When I first met Liz and Tony they were already getting excited for their fireworks show. And it did NOT disappoint! I’m a huge firework lover so I was screaming and cheering the entire time while I was trying to capture them! So. Much. Fun. If you really want to end your wedding day with a BANG, a firework show is the way to go!

A Note to Liz and Tony

Liz and Tony – where do I even begin?! You two have not only been a wonderful couple to work with, but have also become amazing friends. I enjoyed getting to see each step of your day come together – I’ve never met anyone else who has worked so hard on their wedding day! And it was SO worth it because your wedding day was the most relaxed and enjoyable day. Thank you for coming into my life and thank you for also bringing other wonderful couples into my life. I soooo appreciate it. I know COVID threw some interesting curveballs your way and I’m sorry about that. You two have handled everything so well and we all appreciate it.

Congratulations as you two start a new chapter together! I can’t wait to see where your marriage takes you and what new adventures you two will experience together! Give your fur babies a hug from me too – I’m sure they’re snuggled up on your keyboard as your read this.
