Celestial Summer Ste. Chapelle Wedding

I am so excited to share Emily and Alec’s gorgeous celestial summer Ste. Chapelle wedding with all of you! Their wedding included details that represented the sun, moon, and stars throughout and of course subtle touches of wine to pay homage to their winery venue.

Their Love Story

When Emily and Alec met through an online dating app, they immediately clicked! It didn’t take them long to realize they wanted to get married. On a rare rainy day in Los Angeles, Alec proposed to Emily on the beach. Of course she said yes to the beginning of a new chapter together!

Their Celestial Summer Ste. Chapelle Wedding day

Emily and Alec started their day by getting ready off-site. Emily took the celestial theme to her attire as she adorned a moon and star crown with some moon and star tattoos and jewels on her body. Her hair glistened like the night sky which was full of glitter and bedazzled with pearls.

They shared their first look together and then took portraits on the beautiful grounds of Ste. Chapelle. Their outdoor ceremony was full of celestial details including a circular arch decorated with stars and moons and star patterned fabric lining the aisles.

At their reception they made sure the guests were all having fun as they competed for bottles of wine (from Ste. Chapelle’s winery of course!) and played the shoe game. Their entire dinner menu was vegan and they cut their vegan cake together and paraded through the vineyard for some stunning golden hour portraits.

As the sun set, they shared their first dance together and with their parents. They danced the night away under the stars with their friends and family at Ste. Chapelle’s outdoor dancefloor. From start to finish their day was full of smiles and absolutely perfect!

My Favorite Moment

I had a couple moments that really stood out to me on Emily and Alec’s wedding day. The first one was their first look. They did something I haven’t seen any other couple do. They shared their first look with their family and friends surrounding them. I thought it was so sweet that they wanted their loved ones surrounding them and watching them see each other for the first time on their big day!

My second favorite moment was the ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as Emily paid tribute to her late mother during her personal vows to Alec. They also chose Alec’s grandmother as the ringbearer and his mom was the officiant. Once again, it was a beautiful way to involve the ones they care about most.

A Note to Emily and Alec

It’s hard for me to come up with words that truly describe how much fun I had with you two and your families on your day. Right from the time I arrived I could tell it was going to be a day full of emotion and love. Thank you two for treating me like a member of your family and for being such kind humans to work with! I’m so grateful you chose me to photograph your day! Congratulations and enjoy being husband and wife together!
