Allie and Mark met through a mutual friend. Mark contacted Allie on Facebook messenger (thank goodness she responded!) and they started talking. They had their first date at Texas Roadhouse where Allie worked at the time and started dating shortly after. Mark visited Allie at Texas Roadhouse many times while Allie bartended and Allie dropped and broke several glasses because she was so flustered. Hah! You can read more about their proposal story here!
Their day was absolutely stunning from start to finish. They celebrated on the most perfect mid-September day – the sun was shining and the fall colors were just starting to peek out. I loved how heartfelt each moment of their day was. Allie’s maid of honor, Teal, started to tear up as she zipped Allie into her dress. When Allie gave her dad a special gift, the emotion in the room was palpable. As these two read letters to each other before the ceremony, I started to tear up! It was so special to watch Mark get emotional as Allie walked down the aisle. During the reception toasts, their friends and family shared fun memories and shed a few tears. Overall, you could feel how much their friends and family love these two and are cheering for their new chapter together.
These two did a fun twist on the glass clinking tradition – instead of clinking glasses and kissing, the DJ would announce a couple to come up and kiss in front of everyone. Allie and Mark would then have to reenact that kiss. The fan favorite was a choreographed dance to the song Cherry Pie.
Mark and Allie chose not to see each other before the ceremony – instead they opted for a “first no-look”. They wrote each other heartfelt letters and they read them while they stood around the corner from each other. This moment was SO SWEET. They both got really emotional and I think it helped ease some of their nerves for the day. I LOVE this alternative to a first look!
Thank you SO much for allowing me to be part of your wedding day. I loved every moment of your day – I’m seriously still relishing in how much fun your day was! It was a blast getting to ride around on the golf cart with you (Deb’s the real MVP!) and watching your two start this new chapter together. From how much I’ve gotten to know you both, it’s clear that you two care immensely for each other and I love how you both balance each other so well and are incredibly supportive of each other. It’s fun to see Mark’s silly side come out when he is around you, Allie! I wish you both the best as you continue to make your new house your home. Give Roxy and Bella a big hug from me!!
